In the workshops of Stuhrling Original, the unit specializing in mechanical movements, factor selection, assembly, lubrication, adjustment and testing produces horological wonders completely beneath vigilant attention of Swiss ownership and supervision. It is these workshops that manufacture the mechanical engines that are widely known and esteemed for meeting the most eminent existent criteria in there category. Starting with the main plate, the assemblage routine is performed in various successive stages up until anchoring the remainder spring, which sets the watch into motion. Assembling a Stuhrling Original mechanical automatic motion comprises no less than 30 checkpoints, disseminate all around the assemblage process. Unique Watch…doesn’t need batteries

This self-winding skeleton watch will never need batteries! It is a rather big watch, with subtle heart designs etched into the dial. The ribbon covered leather band has a slight shimmer to it which is very pretty. Because of the size of the watch, it might not look good on a petite lady.

Update: I now own this watch in two colors and love them both. The watch pictured has a light rose gold bezel & darker rose gold face which breathtakingly goes with most of my clothing. This color works nicely with brown, brick, varying shades of pink, dark red, and coral. Probably even more colors, but those came to my mind first. I’ve received various compliments on this watch…even from strangers.

Update: After almost 1 1/2 years, this watch still keeps outstanding time, & looks almost like new. The band still looks great. Also, because it is self-winding…your wrist and hand motion keep it wound…if you don’t wear it daily, you’ll need to set the time and re-wind it a little bit before you wear it again.

Update: April 2010, closely 3 years later, my watch still keeps good time. The bezel is more of a dark gold color now, with a hint of rose. The band still looks nice. I rotate a few watches to match what I’m wearing, so this one doesn’t get daily wear. I love the fact that I’ve never had to buy a battery for it.

Update: March 23, 2011, my watch still keeps good time; the band is showing a good deal of wear, the bezel is still a dark gold color.

Junk, Bad Service, Stay Away and Save Your Money

This watch has been back to the manufacturer twice for “replating”. Soon after purchase, the plating on the bezel started to peel off. Many weeks after returning it to the manufacturer (New York), galore phone calls and much grief later, the watch came back and the same thing happened (in the same spot!). It went back again, came back a lot of weeks later and within a few days of wearing it the same spot appeared. Spent over $60.00 in shipping and insurance sending it back to them and it is still junk!

This watch was gently employed by a tame lady on particular occasions – not worn everyday, not in the shower, pool, etc…

I purchased this item on January 28, 2008 as a Valentine’s Day gift – unfortunately, I could not return it for a refund from Amazon because it wasn’t used at all until near the end of February and the defects didn’t appear until after the return amount of time was past. Thus, the nightmare of having to deal with the manufaturer. So, almost a year later, this costly piece of junk is sitting in a drawer (should go in the trash, really…). Buyer Beware!

Stay away from this product, save your cash and spend it elsewhere!

Stunning.

If you think this watch is beauteous in the picture than you will be floored when you receive it. I wore this watch for the basi time today and I have already had three people comment on how much they liked it. I am also happy to note that the watch is classy sufficient to wear to a corporate work environment.

This watch is shipped flat (instead of wrapped around a holder) and is in a pretty gift box. I thought it was likewise interesting that the back of the watch is clear and allows you to see all of the gears moving inside.

Very pleased & will be buying other watches from Stuhrling in the future.
