  • 4:1 solution of rubbing alcohol to water.
  • Do not use soap products.
  • These suggested solutions will evaporate cleanly from metal and glass surfaces. Soap will leave residue behind when dry.

To clean the case and crystal:
Moisten a soft cloth with one of the above solutions. Gently wipe the case and crystal clean. Be careful not to put too much stress on the crystal as you clean. *NEVER immerse or soak the case/crystal share of the watch, no matter of water resistance rating. Moisture could seep past the seals over time.

To clean the band or strap:
Skagen soft mesh bands are without apparent effort adjustable. Simply insert a little screwdriver or similar tool into the clasp. Lift up the clasp without applying pressure to the thin pin all over the clasp and move to desired position. Snap closed securely. Make sure the clasp is set in one of the indentations on the back of the band. Link bands are exclusively adaptable anyplace watches are serviced.

Skagen proposes the following exercises for cleaning metal, rubber and leather surfaces:

  • Metal watchbands
Dip a cotton swab in the above solution, and gently rub it into the soiled share of the band. For more intricate mesh bands, you may want to use a soft bristle toothbrush or nailbrush. Be sure to cover the case of the watch for the duration of this procedure so as not to soak it. For stubborn soil, you may want to fetch it to a jeweler for a professional cleaning.

  • Leather watchstraps: Top Grain

4Versatile and Great to Look At
    By P. Chan
First, the minimalist design looks much better in person. I principally purchased this watch to wear at the office, but as it turns out, this Skagen is very versatile. Whether your dressing up or just going out, it works very nicely. So, in terms of looks, I’d give it a 5.

In keeping with the minimalist approach, the list of features is short. The watch is light and the mesh band is comfortable to wear. I have littler wrists and was delighted to find that the band may be without apparent effort adjusted to accomodate a great deal of dissimilar sizes. Also, the calendar is definately a plus.

But while the minimalist approach pleases the eye for the duration of the day, at night, the watch becomes useless. I wish Skagen included a great deal of sort of glow-mechanism to illumine numerous percentage of the watch in low light. Nothing. This is my only complaint.

Overall, I love this watch. If I could rate the item a 4.5, I would.

    4Great watch, but one problem
    By Adam Heitzman
I recieved this watch as a gift with regards to 5 months ago and I actually like it. As a person with hairy arms I was looking for a nice watch that does not pull my hair out, which I find fantastically annoying. The titanium mesh band on this watch does a outstanding occupation of of not catching those hairs. All of the finish and materials have kept up well to the every day abuse that I give it.

The only real problem I have with my watch is that it is fabulously loud. In relative silence I may listen it from 6-8 feet away and, if I think in regards to it, I may listen it while watching TV. Although this isnt actually a problem for me my girlfriend found it akin to something out of a Edgar Allen Poe story…a relentless ticking that drove her crazy. There is a possibleness that it is just my watch because it is in some way defective.

    3Started Great…Ended Average
    By R. Awbrey
First let me say that I loved this watch. Skagen systematically delivers a product that is graceful and simplistic. The design is something that genuinely may be worn in any setting. Plus, the titanium design makes this watch unbelievable light. Most of the time you don’t even know you have it on.

Why then did I take off two stars?

    1. Sound: This actually is a deafening ticking watch. If your hearing isn’t so outstanding then it’s not in truth a problem. But I am blessed/cursed with rather good hearing and I had to put the watch on the dresser, throughout the room, in my valet, underneath my wallet to keep from hearing it.

    2. Crystal: The crystal is the same mineralized material employed in most fashion watches and sport watches like Timex. You’d think that would make it a little tougher but not really. It’s exacerbated by the fact that the crystal “domes” up rather of laying flat so it’s much more likely to crack when you hit it on something. Mine gorgeous much shattered when I bumped (not slammed mind you) in the wall moving a table.
