5Good Watch……. time tested movement
By Mutant53
I have come the age (50) that I wanted an automatic watch that had the Day of the Week. I likewise think they have more “Soul” that a quartz watch. I also have a Rolex. But I wanted something I could bum around in and not worry much when it comes to hurting it. It’s like a older car with carburetor, it’s not perfective but it’s not suppose to be. Mine runs somewhat accurately…now that I stopped messing around with main spring adjustment thing on the inside. I have too much time on my hands I guess. It runs just as good as my Rolex for assorted thousands $$ less and looks great.

5Built like a tank, wont break the bank…

Bought mine closely seven years ago and wear it all day, each day, swimming, working out, or for a night on the town. Besides my wedding ring, it’s the only jewelry I wear, and I’ve have had innumerable compliments on it, and never a moment’s problem. Hope to have it another seven years. Best watch I’ve ever owned.

4Good for the price.

Arrived new but without instruction booklet. My Omega automatic Seamaster is when it comes to 10 years old and never cleaned and runs – 15 sec/d. This Seiko runs + 10 sec/d. Although the Omega may need service, I’m not trouble by the Seiko performance. I dislike the fact that isn’t Japan Made, the cheap feel of the crown screwdown function ( doesn’t give waterproof sensation when tightening ) and the lack of hacking mechanism. The 7S26 Seiko machine can’t be winded by the crown but I’ve read it needs less maintenance that most swiss lavishness automatics. If this model had the SKX031K2 bracelet and the metal borders around the hour marks and the date window, the hacking and crown winding, it would be hard to beat.
