I’ve read a digital version of this book and all I can say is that it’s great. Maybe it is too expensive for a book, but I had one single order exceeding $3000 that turned out to be fraudulent. If only I could get this book before I shipped the merchandize. It helps. I cannot say if it is possible to competely eliminate credit card fraud (the author says that in theory it is impossible, but in practice you can do it), but in the last two months I haven’t received charge-backs. And I don’t think that those orders that I canceled were legitimate. I just want to thank Vesper for this excellent book. And keep going.

Despite being (allegedly) written – in part at least – by a professional card fraud gang, the book offers only very basic information on both the way card fraudsters operate, and how they can be stopped.

The book is OK for a small merchant, with little credit card experience or knowledge. However, it is a waste of time for anyone with a reasonable understanding of the topic.

It is also ridiculously over priced. Although having 53 pages, please note that:
– a number of pages are either completely blank, or alternatively, contain only one small paragraph
– The book is of relatively small dimensions
– The font is quite large

If you gather from this that you don’t a lot for your money, you are 100% correct.

This book answers the question, “What is the best way to protect from credit card fraud online?” The author found how swindlers penetrate different anti-fraud systems, both manual and automatic. Then he collected, filtered and studied tons of data on these “penetration methods” and determined the best way to protect from them. While the book is based on very in-depth research, it does not read like a research report. The author has done an excellent job at bridging the gap between first rate research and a mass market audience.
Strengths: The author’s writing is very interesting and easy to read. The book is a quick read and many readers will finish it within a weekend. While based on lots of research, the book does not read like a boring textbook. The author’s conclusions are delivered simply and concisely.

Weaknesses: Minor but: It may be hard for novice online sellers to fully understand this book.

Who should read this book: All managers, executives, and leaders of any type of organization that accept credit cards online, as well as those others interested in credit card fraud.

Also consider: Nothing. This is the only helpful book on this topic.

This watch is not for a fancy person. I bought the watch only because of that fact that I am not a watch wearer. I never have been and believe this is a way I can start with out being worried about damaging or losing an expensive watch. Yes the material is cheap but like I said it is a beginners watch. I love hello kitty and thats what makes we want to keep up with the watch. Only thing is I would even spend more money for a better matieral watch. So for the watch designer I know it is cheap but the material was a little tooo cheap.

This watch was purchased for my daughter’s bday. It looks cute; however, it would not stay fastened on her wrist. Online, it appears as if it has a working clamp, but once you get it, you find that it is flimsy. Everytime my daughter rubbed up against something it came off. Poorly done! We had to send it back and order her a different watch. My daughter was very disappointed after waiting for this watch to come in the mail.
