What is the fastest way to establish credit?

credit
__A_YAHOO_USER__ asked:

I turn 18 soon, and I want to start establishing good credit fast. What are good ways to do this? I'll be attending college, will my credit score be higher if I pay the interest during school or defer it all until I graduate? My goal is to be able to buy a house as early in life as possible, and I want to get good credit as early as possible. Help please!

What to do when your credit card company causes overdrafts at your bank?

credit
daveysgirl126 asked:

I recently paid my credit card bill of $2.27, however the credit card company entered the payment as $227.00, causing $50 in overdraft fees at my bank. The credit card company had me fax over a statement with the bank fees on it so they can take care of it, however after 3 weeks they still haven't done it, they tell me that they don't even know if the statement is in the building and that they get hundreds of faxes a day and as soon as they get to it, they will handle it, what if this takes months? Is there a way I can make them take care of this matter more quickly? I just went ahead and paid my banks fees just so I could use my bank account again. Did I do the right thing? What if the credit card company never received the fax and they end up asking for another one, how can I make sure that they receive it? They corrected the mistake between the $2.27 and $227.00, maybe that's all I can hope for.

What is the best credit card for a beginner but also for a student?

credit
sophia asked:

I never had a credit card in my life before. I was always scared that I might fall under the bad credit before I reach 25! But now, I really need a credit card, but I want to know which one is the best one to apply for? I am also a full time student, so I don't know if there are companies that offer a credit with help for a student.

Can credit card companies close your accounts without warning? How does it affect your credit score?

credit
Sara asked:

I received a letter in the mail from Juniper (iTunes Rewards) stating that they have closed my credit card account due to inactivity. I opened the account about 18 months ago and have never actually used it. Can they close my account just like that without any warning? How should I handle the situation? (Is there anything I can even do?)

Also, I know that closing credit card accounts lowers your credit score. Does anyone know how much mine will be affected?

What's a good first credit card to get to start establishing business credit?

credit
LJ's Back! asked:

I recently started an LLC and would like to start establishing my business credit. What are some good first credit cards to get that will help me establish my business credit? Most I've seen want my personal credit as a co-signer for my business, but I would prefer to stay away from that. I mean, what was the point of forming an LLC if my personal credit was going to be taken into account for everything, right?

How does a credit limit work, I just got my first credit card?

credit
life asked:

I just got my first credit card and it has a $2,500 limit on it. I have charged $2,225 on it. I will only be able to pay the minimum payment this bill cycle of $50. Though I should be able to pay it off in full by late September. In the mean time I need to pay some bills. Will I get a $2,500 credit limit the following cycle or just the remaining $275 until I pay the bill?

What credit card to get at 18 and not a college student?

credit
Bryce asked:

I always thought at 18 they love to give you credit cards, I've tried Capitol One, Chase, a QT credit card, and a Best Buy one. All deny due to no credit history. I obviously can't get Credit history if they won't let me have credit. I Work 2 jobs and just want to have one just in case and to actually build my credit. What's going on and why do i keep getting denied?
